Mary Greenberg/Marguerite Howland Personnel Development Award

Letters of application and any accompanying materials for 2009 may be sent to selection committee via the Library Dean's Office between the opening date (March 2, 2009) and the closing date (March 20, 2009) at 5 pm.

Emeritus librarian Jill Holmes upon her retirement from the OSU Library in 1992 established this award to honor Mary Greenberg & Marguerite Howland, former library employees. The award is given to full-time library employees for work-related higher education tuition, workshop and seminar registration fees and conference expenses. Recipients are invited to an awards lunch and are honored at the Edmon Low Library Staff Association's Spring Meeting

Requests for funds must be work-related and are considered in this order:

  1. library science or work-related post-secondary course tuition;
  2. workshop and seminar registration fees.
  3. conference expenses.

All things being equal, awards are made with preference given in this order: classified staff, administrative & professional staff, and library faculty.
