2021: Contemplating the Constitution

What comes to mind when you think about the Constitution?

Each year, Oklahoma State University recognizes the Constitution's importance, as well as the lasting impact it has made on America. This year, we invite the OSU community to share their thoughts, opinions and experiences through a project called "Contemplating the Constitution." During the week of Constitution Day, student groups tabled throughout the campus to distribute pocket Constitutions and encourage students and employees to respond to the prompt: "What comes to mind when you think about the Constitution? Distill your thoughts and observations on the Constitution in six words."

OSU students who participate will have the opportunity to enter for a chance to win one of five $200 scholarships.

See 2021 responses.

OSU also honored Constitution Day with an exhibit featuring facts about the signing of the Constitution on digital signs throughout the Edmon Low Library.

This year's Constitution Day activities were inspired by The Race Card Project. It was co-sponsored by the OSU Library, OSU Department of Political Science, the Political Science Club and Pi Sigma Alpha.
