American State Papers, 1789-1838

- The American State Papers is a retrospective collection of largely Congressional, but also Executive, materials originating from 1789 through 1838. This includes materials on events such as Lewis and Clark's Expedition and many other historical events. In addition, there are speeches and messages by Presidents Washington, Adams, Jefferson and Madison.

- A citation index is a bibliographic tool in print or electronic format that lists all referenced or cited source items published in a given time span. The tool is a useful method for tracking the historical development -- backwards and forwards in time -- of an idea or given topic within the literature published in a wide selection of journal titles. What distinguishes it from other indexes is that it includes all the cited references (footnotes or bibliographies) published with each article it covers.
- The Institute for Scientific Information® (ISI®) publishes the Art & Humanities Citation Index, which provides access to current bibliographic information and cited references, covering nearly 1,130 of the world's leading arts and humanities journals in a broad range of disciplines. It also covers individually selected, relevant items from approximately 7,000 of the world's leading science and social sciences journals. Both formats provide complete bibliographic data and additional features such as cited reference searching, keywords, and author and publisher addresses.

ARTstor

- ARTstor's software will allow faculty to teach with digital images and students to review images related to a course. ARTstor users will be able to create and save image groups, and they will have tools that allow them to zoom in on details of images, as well as to use their own images along with those in the ARTstor collections. The software enables faculty users to deliver presentations (both on- and off-line) in a lecture hall or a seminar.
