Access to ERIC
OSU ID HOLDERS that wish to access these databases from OFF-CAMPUS must first log into EZProxy. To learn more about EZProxy and off-campus access, please read Off-Campus Access to Library Resources.
The ERIC database, created by the Educational Resources Information Center, is the world's largest source of education information, containing over 950,000 abstracts on education research and practice. ERIC covers two types of literature:
- Journals are indexed and abstracted in CIJE -- Current Index to Journals in Education (1966 - present). This includes scholarly, professional and practitioner journals.
- Documents are indexed and abstracted in RIE -- Resources in Education (1966 - present). This includes non-journal literature, such as full text curriculum guides, theses, conference papers, standards, reports, book chapters, etc. Not peer reviewed. Many ERIC Documents (ED) found on microfiche in Room 105 (Microform & Media Room).
