MARKETPLACE FOR LIBRARY DEVELOPMENT MEDIA

GENERAL INFORMATION

WHAT IS IT?

A dedicated space at the 1998 ALADN Conference full of participants' pamphlets, brochures, booklets, newsletters, campaign materials, promotions, bookmarks, donor recognition materials, videos, and any other library development media (even successful grant proposals!) which YOU would like to share.


HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?

For printed material bring 50 copies (or as many as you can afford to share) and your completed Display Form to the conference with you and deliver them to the registration table when you check in. If you bring more than one type of item, please complete a different Display Form for each item. For videos or CD-ROMs bring only one copy and the completed Display Form. Please mark one copy of each item as DISPLAY ONLY. If you prefer to send your materials ahead, please mail them with the original Display Forms in a box/envelope marked HOLD FOR ALADN CONFERENCE to:

We recommend sending your materials by February 23rd to allow enough time for your package to reach Athens by March 9th!

If you would like to demonstrate your WWW site, please load it on your laptop computer and be prepared to demo in stand alone format. There will be no online hookup available at the Marketplace.

Whether you bring your materials or send them, please send a copy of each Display Form to:

by February 27th in order to ensure your space in the Marketplace.

The Marketplace this year is being held during breakfast and lunch, and the display tables will be set up in the same room. Please plan to be in the vicinity of your display material for at least part of the formal display time on Wednesday. We suggest having a supply of your business cards at your display area.

Reminder: for each item you plan to distribute or exhibit, please mail a completed copy of the Display Form to Debbie Dove at the University of Georgia Libraries by February 27th and bring or send the originals with your items to Athens. If you cannot supply 50 copies of something, less (even one copy for Display Only) is fine. Bring your business cards, too!
