Direct Contributions
The most common form of gift is a direct contribution. These gifts are made in the form of cash or checks to the OSU Foundation. Gifts may also be made by using your VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Optima Card.
Gifts of Securities
Long-term securities may also be contributed for the Friends of the OSU Library. By giving securities which have appreciated in value since their purchase, donors may be able to both assist the Library and avoid excessive capital gains taxes on the securities.
Gifts In Honor or In Memory
The OSU Library's "Honor with Books" program allows you to honor special persons with bookplated books. A memorial gift in the name of a friend or loved one provides a tribute to that person, which lives on in service to others.
Other Methods of Giving
Some corporations provide matching gifts to causes supported by their employees. Many companies match contributions made by employees. Additionally, gifts in kind, such as real estate or personal property, may be of great benefit when donated for the Friends of the OSU Library.
Gifts are tax deductible and may be made payable to the "Oklahoma State University Foundation" by check or major credit card. Gifts may be sent to: OSU Foundation, PO Box 1749, Stillwater, OK 74076-9955.
