The Program

A book in the OSU Library is an enduring and significant gift that can celebrate an occasion, remember a loved one, or honor a colleague or graduate. Personalized bookplates can be added to books with gifts of $50 or more.

Book Plate Wording

Suggested sentiments may include the following:

  1. The first line may read:
    • Gift in honor of...
    • Gift in memory of...
    • Gift of...
  2. The second line is the name of the person being recognized.
  3. The third line may include one of the following:
    • Class of (year)
    • Degree, discipline & year
    • City & State
    • Donor's Name (in the case of gifts in honor of or in memory of another individual)

Your sentiment will be replicated electronically in the Library's Web-based Catalog and the OSU Library will notify the person you are honoring, if you request it.
