Friends' Music Collection Endowment
A Noteworthy Evening 2008
Join us for an evening of musical entertainment provided by OSU students and faculty from the music department. Performances will feature the Library’s new Steinway seven-foot grand piano, a gift of James and Elizabeth Wise.
A Noteworthy Evening, as well as other programs such as the Noon Concert Series and music student recitals, will be elevated to a new level thanks to the
generosity of James and Elizabeth Wise of Oklahoma City. The Wises underwrote the purchase of the piano for the Peggy V. Helmerich Browsing Room.
This is the third annual event to raise funds for the Friends’ Music Collection Endowment and celebrate the ongoing partnership of the Friends of the OSU Library and the Friends of Music. All proceeds from A Noteworthy Evening will go to the Friends’ Music Collection Endowment which supports the purchase of Library materials for the study of music.

The Friends’ Music Collection Endowment
All proceeds from A Noteworthy Evening go to the Friends’ Music Collection Endowment. The Friends of the OSU Library have contributed the first $5,000 for the new endowment. The Friends’ Music Collection Endowment purchases Library materials supporting the study of music.
Endowments are an essential part of the Library’s strategy for assuring that it can meet the needs of students, faculty and scholars for years to come. These funds provide financial support in perpetuity and guarantee a level of excellence for our collections in the future.
The Friends of the OSU Library plan to make A Noteworthy Evening an annual event to continue raising funds for the Endowment and provide increasing support for the study of music at OSU.
You can contribute to the Friends’ Music Collection Endowment at any time by sending donations to 216 Library, Stillwater, OK 74078-1071. Checks should be made to the OSU Foundation, with a note to deposit in the Friends’ Music Collection Endowment.
