Funded: Library Landscaping
This project is now fully funded.
The majestic Edmon Low Library lies at the center of campus, welcoming faculty, students and visitors to campus. Recent gifts to beautify the building’s exterior help ensure this campus landmark will remain the pride of OSU for years to come.
Tulsa businessman John Clerico donated $500,000 for a comprehensive renovation of the south plaza. It now bears the name memorializing his late wife, the Beverly Clerico Plaza. The purpose of Clerico’s gift was to inspire others. Steve and Susan Raybourn of Oklahoma City were the first to accept Clerico’s challenge. They were joined by Bruce and Courtney Baugher and Bryan Close.
There are several opportunities to add seating and landscaping around the Edmon Low Library. Planter donations include maintenance of flora. Each of these pieces will bear a small plaque recognizing the donor:
- $3,500 each for two benches to be placed on the east and west sides of the Beverly Clerico Plaza.
- $2,500 each for four 72-inch planters reflecting the silhouette of the fountain. These planters will reside on the lower portion of the Beverly Clerico Plaza.
- $2,000 each for two 48-inch planters on the east and west sides of the Beverly Clerico Plaza.
- $1,500 each for two 36-inch planters on either side of the south doors.
Artist conceptions below illustrate the planned placement for several of the pieces. Sketches were provided by Kate Blalack, OSU Library Photo Technician and OSU alumnus 2000.
