International Directory of Company Histories	Multivolume set containing an index listing volumes and page numbers for both historical essays and updates for large public and private companies. Mergent's/Moody's Manuals	Multivolume set covering companies listed on U.S. stock exchange in a variety of business areas. Information for each company includes a brief corporate history.	Reference Area 332's (Ask for assistance at the Reference Desk)

Electronic sources

Besides a corporate web site, one may be successful in finding company history within the management's letter to shareholders, usually written by the chairman or chief executive officer. You can try searching for this letter within the annual report found in the Disclosure Reports.
