Finding Information
Being Information Literate recognizes the lifelong need for information. The Oklahoma State University Libraries recognize the need that you -- our community -- have for finding, evaluating, using, and citing information. We also recognize that on occasion, everyone needs help with starting and proceeding through the research process.
These pages illustrate the steps for finding information. They offer tips along the way to make the process less painful as well as productive. In addition, they gather the most frequently used online resources available from the OSU library and provide direction and guidelines for their efficient and effective use.

These pages will assist you and your students to develop the skills they need to excel in the research and writing components of your courses.
Students will learn: how to locate books and articles on specific subjects in the OSU Library, to use the online catalog, access electronic indexes and journals, explore the Internet, evaluate the information they find, and cite it.
Please direct your students to this resource when an assignment requires the use of the library or library resources. For course specific instruction, please contact your departmental library liaison.
