The Map Room of the Oklahoma State University Library houses many different sets of maps.

OSU is a regional depository library and as such receives the maps distributed by the Government Printing Office (GPO). These include the print and digital maps produced by:

  • the United States Geological Survey,
  • Census Bureau,
  • Forest Service,
  • National Park Service,
  • Natural Resources Conservation Service (Soil Conservation Service),
  • NOAA,
  • and many other agencies.

The Map Room also houses collections of other maps. Some of these are commerically available such as city and state highway maps and state topographic maps. Others are unique collections for the OSU Map Room such as aerial photographs of most Oklahoma counties, and aerial photographic series of many urban areas in the U.S. and around the world (the MPSI Collection).
