A Noteworthy Evening 2008

Voices filled the air in the Library on April 4, an uncommon but welcomed occurance. The OSU Library hosted A Noteworthy Evening 2008 in the Peggy V. Helmerich Browsing Room.

The event is a collaboration between the Friends of the OSU Library and the Friends of Music which raises money for the Friends' Music Collection Endowment. The endowment is used to purchase material related to the study of music.

President Hargis began the evening with a special performance on the Library's new seven-foot Steinway grand piano. The piano was a gift from Dr. James and Mrs. Elizabeth Wise, longtime Library donors.

After Hargis's number, students performed a variety of vocal selections. Guests were invited to visit with the performers after the event at a dessert reception.
