Statement From the Dean
Annex Moved Halted
December 1, 2004
For Immediate Release
STILLWATER -In light of recent concerns about the Library Annex, I have decided to halt all relocation of Library materials until an open forum can be held to discuss issues that have been brought up and possible alternative options. Although we thought we had talked with appropriate campus leaders prior to moving items from the open stacks collection, it is evident that more discussion and consultation needs to take place regarding the Library Annex.
As Dean of Libraries, I welcome all questions and comments on Library policies and services. It is my goal to constantly pursue ways to best serve the OSU Community, which includes faculty, staff, undergraduate and graduate students, as well as the larger public. Once an appropriate date and time is announced, I hope that all concerned parties will attend.
I look forward to the opportunity to work together to form a strategy to deal with a growing collection and limited space that will serve each of the Library’s constituencies.
