In this Update:
The OSU Library will celebrate Oklahoma's statehood with Oklahoma Ovation featuring Jim Barnes on Nov. 20 at 3:30 pm in the Peggy V. Helmerich Browsing Room at the OSU Library.
Barnes is a Native American poet and author who was chosen as Oklahoma's Poet Laureate in 2009. In 1993, he received an Oklahoma Book Award for The Sawdust War.
The event is sponsored by the Center for Oklahoma Studies. The event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.
After more than three years of planning and two years in a temporary facility, the Cunningham Architecture Library has reopened for business in the Donald W. Reynolds School of Architecture Building, south of Boone Pickens Stadium. The library is on the ground floor of the west wing overlooking a rock garden. Contact information and operating hours are located on the Architecture Library webpage at: http://www.library.okstate.edu/arch.
In addition to the new facility, the Architecture Library is also offering a new service: the Writing Studio, a satellite of the OSU Writing Center. Patterned after the highly successful outpost in the Edmon Low Library, the Writing Studio provides help from English department graduate students to any OSU student with a writing project.
