High-Density Shelving Facility
In spring 2012 the OSU Library began the planning phase to add a high-density shelving facility. High-density shelving maximizes the number of items per square foot. Items are arranged by size, and shelving is multiple stories tall. The facilities are specially designed for ideal archival climate conditions.
We are currently investigating possible locations. The suitability of the selected location will impact the timeline for completion. Library administration is working with consultants to develop a reasonable timeline. Under the most ideal circumstances, the new facility could be ready for material in one-two years.

Math Learning Success Center Relocates to Edmon Low
The Math Learning Resource Center serves undergraduates learning and using mathematics in their coursework. It is currently located on the 4th floor of the Classroom Building. This summer work will begin to prepare a new facility (to be renamed the Math Learning Success Center) on the 5th floor of the Edmon Low Library. The MLSC will occupy the northwest corner of the 5th floor and house two MLSC staff, individual and group tutoring spaces and a 125 person computer lab.
The move will dramatically increase the visibility and accessibility of the MLSC which benefits all OSU students. The tutoring areas and computer lab will be open to the public when the MLSC is closed, increasing seating and available computers during these hours. The upcoming MLSC will enhance the Library’s position as the center of student learning. It is scheduled to open 2013.URL: http://www.library.okstate.edu/news/dean/april12.htm
