Development & Testing of New Web-Scale Management Product
Oklahoma State University Library has joined Serials Solutions, and five other partners in the development of Intota™, a new product supporting all aspects of library functions, including selection, acquisition, cataloging, discovery and fulfillment regardless of resource type. Changes on 5th Floor
Materials from the 5th floor of the OSU Library are now being relocated to make way for the Math Learning Success Center (formerly the Math Learning Resource Center). Crews have also begun the first phase of the new fire suppression system installation. This year the system will be installed on the 5th floor; fire suppression will be upgraded on one additional floor each summer for the next five years.
Library Documents staff continue to review materials to ensure often-consulted materials remain in the Edmon Low Library. The 5th floor legal collection has been moved to the 1st floor, and the Documents Reference Collection will soon relocate there as well. Efforts are also underway to prepare the north third of the Library Annex to house other Document materials. Contact John Phillips (x46546) for questions about specific items.
Construction Update
Three new study rooms are currently under construction on the east side of the 1st floor. Completion is expected prior to the start of the fall semester.
The silent study area on the 4th floor overlooking the fountain will have asbestos abated and new carpet installed. This work should also be finished prior to the fall semester.
