Nominate for Library’s Highest Honor
-Phelps Award honors supporters of the OSU Library

STILLWATER - The Edna Mae Phelps Award recognizes those who have substantially and unselfishly gone above and beyond duty to increase the effectiveness of the OSU Library. The award was established in honor of Mrs. Phelps, of Seminole. Phelps was a strong supporter of the OSU Library. While serving on the OSU Board of Regents, she worked to improve the Library's budget. She also played an active role in organizing the Friends of the OSU Library and served as the organization’s first president.

Nominations will be accepted through October 3 for the 2005 award. Nominees may include OSU Library volunteers or employees, past or present students or faculty, government officials, interested citizens, or members of the Friends. The award is presented annually at the H. Louise & H.E. "Ed" Cobb Speaker Series presented by the Friends of the OSU Library every fall semester. This year’s series will be November 4 and will feature Frank McCourt.

Nomination letters should include your name, address, and telephone number, the name, address, and telephone number of the person you are nominating, and a narrative supporting the nomination.
