Story By: Germaine Paul, OSU Library Communication Intern

For Immediate Release

STILLWATER -The latest update for EndNote is now available for Macintosh and Windows. EndNote XI can be downloaded from the Library’s Web site.

EndNote is a bibliographical management software system created to collect and manage research in-text citation and bibliographies.

“EndNote enables students to save their research without the hassle of APA and MLA citations,” Librarian Beth Reiten said.

The Library negotiated and purchased the licenses for two of the most popular bibliographical software management packages, EndNote and Reference Manager. Both are available free to all OSU users.

The latest edition, EndNote XI, enables students, staff and faculty to view all authors from their personal library database and create groups to view and manage subsets of references.

“We highly recommended downloading EndNote; it will make your research easier,” Reiten said.

To obtain a copy of the software, go to the EndNote/Reference Manager Registration Form on the library Web site. Once registered, the software can be downloaded on a personal computer.

For more information, contact Digital Library Services at (405) 744-9161, toll-free outside of Stillwater at (877) 744-9161 or lib-dls@okstate.edu. To download EndNote XI visit the Library’s Web site at www.library.okstate.edu/bibmanager.
