SGA Funds Extend Library's 24-Hour Access
November 28, 2007
For Immediate Release
STILLWATER -The Student Government Association allocated $4,410 to the OSU Library for 24-hour access during dead week and finals week.
The donation from SGA enables the Library to remain open starting Dec. 2 through Dec. 14. This is the first-year Friday and Saturday nights have been included in 24-hour access.
“Giving to the Library is something we take pride in,” SGA President Michael Warren. “Since SGA is composed of OSU students who utilize the Library, especially during dead week and finals week, it seemed necessary to show our appreciation as student body representatives.”
As an OSU tradition, at the end of each semester, the Library remains open 24-hours to provide students with access to reference materials, course files on reserve and a place to study for finals.
“The Library staff and faculty put in countless hours to keep the OSU tradition alive semester after semester, and this is our way of saying ‘thank you,’” Warren said.
The Library will open Sunday, Dec. 2 at 9 a.m. and remain open until the end of finals on Friday, Dec. 14 at 8 p.m.
