STILLWATER - This semester the Writing Center expanded its help hours at the Library to five sessions a week.

“Since a lot of students spend time at the Library doing homework, it seemed natural to have the writing center come to them,” said Rebecca Damron, assistant professor and director of the writing center.

Each semester the Library partners with the Writing Center to offer help hours in Room 102M, Edmon Low Library. Session will be held Sundays from 4-10 p.m. and Monday-Thursday from 7-10 p.m.

“Every semester I try to partner with the Writing Center to offer help sessions for students because logically students come to the Library to work on papers and we offer hours that are convenient for the students,” said Richard Paustenbaugh, associate dean of research and instruction services.

Since 1976, the Oklahoma State University Writing Center has been the place where students come to think out loud, talk about writing and put their thoughts on paper. The primary purpose of the Writing Center is to trigger the potential in individuals to become well-developed and more effective writers.
