Bird's-Eye View of Walkaround

October 14, 2008
Story by Danny Groshong, OSU Library Communications Intern

For Immediate Release

STILLWATER - If you do not have the time to see every event on Library Lawn, look no further. The Daily O’Collegian and OSU Library partnered to install a 24-hour streaming webcam on the roof of the Edmon Low Library.

The camera aims at the Beverly Clerico Plaza, library fountain or directly across the south Library Lawn. The new camera can catch all three sidewalks that cross the Library Lawn and can view as far back as the south end of the formal garden.

On Oct. 17, thousands of OSU supporters will stroll across the Library Lawn for Homecoming Walkaround. Entries for the sign competition can already be seen on the webcam.

To watch the Homecoming preparations on webcam, go to http://www.library.okstate.edu/systems/webcamera/globe/view.htm.

The webcam can be aimed at any event held on the Library Lawn. To request the webcam feature your Library Lawn event, contact the Library Communications and Public Programming Office at 405-744-7331 or lib-pub@okstate.edu.
