Robin Ventura Returns to OSU
Major League Baseball Manager Headlines Library Fundraiser

STILLWATER -Fresh off a successful debut as a major league manager, baseball great and OSU graduate Robin Ventura will headline an exclusive fundraiser for the Friends of the OSU Library at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 16 in the Peggy V. Helmerich Browsing Room.
Ventura will discuss his OSU and major league baseball playing career, his first season as Chicago White Sox manager, and more with Larry Reece, Cowboy game announcer. A dinner of “ballpark favorites” will be served.
“We’re excited to host such a well-known member of the Cowboy family. He’s represented our University well with all of the success he’s had throughout his career,” coordinator of external relations Debbie Clemons said.
Ventura, current manager of the Chicago White Sox, played professional baseball for various organizations, including the White Sox, from 1989 to 2004. While at OSU, Ventura set records that are still held today, such as the record for the longest hitting streak— 58 games. He is also a member of the College Baseball Hall of Fame.General admission tickets are $50 ($25 is tax deductible). Reserved tables for eight are $600 ($400 is tax deductible).
