Gail Buckley, the daughter of Lena Horne and author of American Patriots: The Story of Blacks in the Military from the Revolution to Desert Storm, gave the keynote address at the OSU Library’s formal opening of the Black American Military Experience Collection on Feb. 21. The collection centers around military service from the U.S. Revolution to the Vietnam War, and many of the items deal with race, slavery and civil rights.
- What: The Black American Military Experience Collection is open to the public and may be viewed by appointment
- Where: Special Collections & University Archives, Edmon Low Library, OSU-Stillwater Campus
- When: Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm or by appoinment. Call 405-744-6311 to make arrangements to view the collection.
