Dust Bowl Expert to speak at the OSU Library

STILLWATER - The OSU Library welcomes Timothy Egan, 2006 National Book Award-winner, as he discusses his book, The Worst Hard Time: The Untold Story of Those Who Survived the Great American Dust Bowl.
Egan will speak in the Peggy V. Helmerich Browsing Room, Edmon Low Library on April 12 at 7 p.m. His presentation is titled, “The Dust Bowls Lasting Legacy.” This event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited.
A 10-15 minute question and answer session will follow Egan’s remarks. Selections of his work will be available for purchase, including “The Worst Hard Time,” which won the 2006 National Book Award for nonfiction. Egan will be available after the presentation to sign books.
This event is part of "The Big Read," an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts. "The Big Read" is designed to help restore reading to the center of American culture. For more information, call 405-744-7331.
