STILLWATER - People in the office brag about her talents, reliability, dedication, success, awards and honors, but mostly, they brag about her significant work on the layout and presentation of graphics for the newly published book, The Campus of OAMC.

She wouldn’t tell you any of these things herself; she is incredibly mature and humble, but credit for her accomplishments should be duly noted.

Ruth Mudroch, a full-time graphic design senior, is an outstanding talent. For the past two years, Mudroch has been a student assistant in Special Collections at the OSU Library. While maintaining her student assistant position, Mudroch works as the graphic design intern in the Library’s Communications and Publications Office, a position she’s held for two semesters.

“Ruth Mudroch deserves all of the credit for the layout and presentation of the images,” David Peters, author of The Campus of OAMC: A Pictorial History of Buildings and Facilities, wrote in the preface. “I very much appreciate her skill, dedication and effort.”

“Ruth is incredibly dedicated to her work,” said Bonnie Ann Cain, Library Communications and Publications Coordinator. “She has a work ethic stronger than I normally see in students her age.”

Last year, Mudroch was recognized as a Class of 1942/Willham Library Scholarship winner. The scholarship is awarded every year to outstanding student employees of the OSU Library. Recipients must be employed as a student assistant in the OSU Library and be enrolled as a full time student at OSU. Through the scholarship, Mudroch was a member of The Friends of the OSU Library Board of Directors for the 2006-2007 school year. This year she is a finalist for the University’s Outstanding Student Employee Award.

“Ruth’s contributions go beyond that of the average student employee,” said Cain. “I have no doubt that Ruth’s reliability, work quality, initiative, professional and unique contributions, make her one of the most outstanding student employees on campus today.”
