STILLWATER - Anne Prestamo said she felt honored when she was included in the newest edition of Marquis Who’s Who in American Women.

“There are other companies who have Who’s Who series both online and in print, but it is the name Marquis that makes this such an honor,” Prestamo said.

As Associate Dean of Libraries for Collection and Technology Services, Prestamo is used to having her achievements reviewed. The primary selection criteria for Marquis Who's Who publications are a position of leadership held at significant organization, educational attainments, a noteworthy achievement in creative works, significant publishing or public speaking experience and contributions to the community.

Prestamo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Kent State University, a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Wisconsin and an Educational Doctorate from OSU. She has contributed articles to various professional journals and holds membership in several state and national library associations, serving as president of the Oklahoma Library Association from 2003-2004.

Since 1899, when A.N. Marquis printed the first edition of Who’s Who in America, Marquis Who’s Who has chronicled the lives of the most accomplished individuals and innovators from every significant field of endeavor—including politics, business, medicine, law, education, art, religion and entertainment, 800 occupations in all.
