LBSC 1011
BackgroundThe OSU Library offers many services to our students. Annual discussions with student leaders (top 10 seniors, SGA, GPSGA, and student representative to ULAC) has lead Library administration to the conclusion that students, especially undergraduates, are generally unfamiliar with the full variety of Library services. This impression is in line with nation level research concerning college students and libraries. This situation is compounded when students do use certain resources (online journal subscriptions being the best example), but don’t realize that what they are using is provided by the Library. The “You’re @ the Library” campaign will employ multiple communication channels to feature a different service each month. The core theme of the campaign is that when you use these resources you are “at the Library.” The featured resources will include both services offered in person and remote services. Featured ResourcesMake Better Grades & Earn a Credit HourLBSC 1011 is a one-hour-credit course to help you develop effective research techniques and become efficient using library resources. What does that mean? It means you’ll learn how to use the library better and faster, so you can produce superior class assignments in record time. The eight-week course is offered in in-class or online at different times throughout the semester. For a list of course sections or for more information, go to www.library.okstate.edu/lbsc1011/index.htm. Library Webpage
