Lisa Johnson Billy was interviewed December 3, 2007 as part of the Women of the Oklahoma Legislature Oral History Project. Mrs. Johnson Billy was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2004 and is currently serving. She represents House District 42 and is a member of the Republican Party. Mrs. Johnson Billy shares memories of her childhood and college days and discusses her passion for issues that impact families and children. She also talks about drawing from her experiences as a Chickasaw tribal legislator while serving in the House of Representatives.
