About Latasha:
Latasha Wilson began working for the Oklahoma Oral History Research Program in 2007. She earned a master’s degree in International Studies and a bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in German from Oklahoma State University.
A 2005 graduate of N.E.W. (National Education for Women) Leadership, she worked for the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women before coming to the Library and now serves on their Advisory Council. She completed some research that was included in the Oklahoma Women’s Almanac, co-authored by J. Paustenbaugh and B. Darcy (Oklahoma Political Science Association Press, 2005) and has developed curriculum for grades four through nine based on the Women of the Oklahoma Legislature Oral History Project.
She spent one year living with a family in Mannheim, Germany as a Rotary Exchange Student, completed an internship through the U.S. Department of State in Vienna, Austria, has taken classes in China and Mexico and spent time in a number of other countries. A native Oklahoman, she enjoys sharing the greatness of Oklahoma with the rest of the world as well as learning more about Oklahoma through oral history interviews.
