Hours and Location
of the Oklahoma State University Patent & Trademark Library

It takes two hours to begin a preliminary patent search. Call to make an appointment before visiting the Patent & Trademark Library (405) 744-6546. For more information, see Patent Search Assistance.

HOURS

The Patent & Trademark Library is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., and requires appointments for preliminary patent searches Monday - Friday, excluding University Holidays. Please call to make an appointment.

  • Appointments: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m.
The office is closed in observance of holidays such as Memorial Day, Labor Day and the Fourth of July. The University observes the Thanksgiving holiday as both Thursday and Friday, and Christmas holiday as Christmas Eve through January 1st.

LOCATION

The OSU Patent & Trademark Library is located on the 5th floor of the Edmon Low Library and is part of the Government Documents Department. The Library is located in the center of the OSU campus, northwest of the Student Union and southwest of the stadium. The Library has a white tower and a fountain on the south side. When entering the Library please use the north or center elevators and select the 5th floor. Turn right after exiting either of the elevators and look for the Reference Desk. The Reference Librarian at the desk will notify the Patent and Trademark Librarian that you are here.

From Oklahoma City:

  • Take I-35 North
  • Exit at Stillwater (exit #174) -- Highway 51 East
  • From the first stoplight (Country Club Rd.), continue East for 3.2 miles (7 stoplights) to Hester
  • At Hester turn left (North)
  • Drive 4 short blocks to the intersection of Hester and University St. (first stoplight)
  • Turn left onto University St. (West)
  • Turn right immediately into the Student Union Parking Lot ($6.00 per day or $.75 per hour)

From Tulsa:
If on Highway 51 (Free road)

  • From the first stoplight (Jardot), continue West for 1.9 miles (8 stoplights)
  • At Hester turn right (North)
  • Drive 4 short blocks to the intersection of Hester and University St. (first stoplight)
  • Turn left onto University St. (West)
  • Turn right immediately into the Student Union Parking Lot ($6.00 per day or $.75 per hour)
If on Highway 64 (Turnpike = $1.25, exact change ($.50) required at Stillwater exit)
  • Exit South on Perkins Rd.
  • Drive 6.3 miles
  • At the intersection of Perkins Rd. and 6th Ave., turn right onto 6th Ave.
  • Drive .9 miles (5 stoplights) to Hester
  • At Hester turn right (North)
  • Drive 4 short blocks to the intersection of Hester and University St. (first stoplight)
  • Turn left onto University (West)
  • Turn right immediately into the Student Union Parking Lot ($6.00 per day or $.75 per hour)
