STUDENT ASSISTANT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

The Edmon Low Library has an opening for a student assistant to work approximately 12-20 hours per week for the Summer 2015 semester. Work hours are preferred between 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Continued employment through Fall 2015 is possible, to work approximately 10-12 hours per week with flexible work hours between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.

 Rate of Pay: $8.75 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Map Room Reference Desk during open hours of 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., answer phone, reply to emails, general patron help
  • Stamping, refiling, map retrieval, scanning, printing
  • Work on continuing map room projects

Required:

  • Keyboarding skills and filing
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to perform basic office duties
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with maps

MUST BE ENROLLED OR REGISTERED FOR FALL AS AT LEAST PART-TIME (6 HOURS UNDERGRADUATE/ 4 HOURS GRADUATE).  GRADUATE STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THESIS HOURS WILL ALSO BE CONSIDERED.
