Henry G. Bennett

Henry Garland Bennett(1886-1951) served as President of OAMC from July 1, 1928 - December 22, 1951. Bennett was instrumental in adding over a dozen permanent buildings to campus while maintaining the architectural integrity of the campus. He also oversaw many wartime projects including WAVES, Veterans Village, and other military programs. Bennett died in 1951 in a plane crash in Tehran, Iran while working for the U.S. Government's Point Four Program.
