Correspondence, clippings, microfilm, oral histories, photographs* and other material written, received, and collected by B.B. Chapman. Subjects include the history of Oklahoma A&M College and OSU, and Chapman's attempts at collecting historical material, artifacts, and information. Much of the material originally in collection has been dispersed to other collections; see folder on dispersal and data folder.

Berlin Basil Chapman (1900-1994) was born in Webster Springs, WV, received his A.B. degree from West Virginia University, 1924, A.M. degree from Harvard in 1927, and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1931. He was professor of History at OAMC/OSU 1927-1930 and 1941-1966, president of the Payne County Historical Society, 1947-1967, and member of the Board of Directors, Oklahoma Historical Society, 1951-1967. His interest in OAMC/OSU history resulted in the compilation of the three-volume "Record Book," the acquisition of the three Magruder Medals, and numerous essays, books, and articles.
