Collection contains scattered issues of four different newspapers under five titles:
(1) Stars and Stripes (1918-1919), the unofficial newspaper of the U.S. Armed Forces published under the auspices of the Information and Education Service, U.S. Armed Forces;
(2) WhatsMyName (1942), a publication designed and edited for and by the men of the United States Marine Corps, Marine Corps Base, San Diego, California;
(3) Marine Corps Chevron(1942), coninues WhatsMyName;
(4) Stars and Stripes European Editions (Aldorf, Nurnberger Land Germany European edition (1946); and Pfungstadt, Germany European edition (1947-1948), the unofficial paper of: Information and Education Service (USFET).
Arranged chronologically by unbound issue number with the exception of the bound issues of Stars and Stripes (1918-1919), which file at the end of the collection.
