H.G. Thuesen Collection

The collection contains papers associated with the research of OAMC Industrial Engineering professor H.G. Thuesen, including the development of the memo-activity camera (1962) and the "world's first operable parking meter." The first parking meter was tested in Oklahoma City in July 1935 and officially patented in 1938. Thuesen also wrote on the development of the first forty years (1926-1966) of instruction in Industrial Engineering and Management at OAMC. The materials included are manuscripts, blueprints, articles, drawings, correspondence, advertisements, and publications.
