Gifts and Donations to Special Collections and Univeristy Archives (SCUA)
Our collections represent selected and donated material focusing on the history of Oklahoma State University, its employees, and graduates. We are adding to our collections on a regular basis and grateful for your generous donations. We are also collecting related rare books, manuscripts, photographs and research material related to Oklahoma women, history, politics, military history, business and natural resources. See the items highlighted below for more specific information.

- OAMC/OSU Material and Memorabilia: this may include but is not limited to, correspondence, publications, photographs, ephemera, student and university activities, and athletic and other event programs. We are particularly interested in any material related to the Civil Rights Movement, Vietnam War, OSU in Ethiopia, Varsity Revenue, and Veterans Village.
- The papers of former OSU Employees: we are accepting donations of any faculty-sponsored research which was considered significant in their respective fields of study. We appreciate curriculum vitas and/or bibliographies of their publications for our faculty files, copies of their publications, and biographies of faculty members.
We are also collecting material describing the history and development of the various academic departments, colleges, university, staff publications, special projects and items highlighting involvement in university committees.
To protect privacy, comply with university policy, and ensure compliance with state and federal law we do not accept old grade books, student papers, class lists, travel documents, or any items with private information, such as Social Security numbers.
- Women's Archives at OSU: we are accepting and collecting material of the daily life, achievements and social movements of women in Oklahoma. For more information see: http://www.library.okstate.edu/scua/aboutwomen.htm
- OSU Publications: Daily O'Collegian (and previous student newspapers);The OSU Alumni Magazine, particularly the years 1931-1937, 1951, 1952, 1955, 1957 and 1964; the Aggievator and Papyrus, and other departmental and student publications. Of particular interest are underground newspapers such as the Drummer, the Andromeda, Coral and the Juke Joint Journal. Additionally, we are accepting donations of the Redskin yearbook and are especially interested in the years before 1950.
- African Americans who served in the military.
- Oklahomans who have served in the military, especially OAMC/OSU graduates.
- The botanical history of Oklahoma and/or the Southwest plains.
- Early Oklahoma and Indian Territory maps.
- Oklahoma published poets: especially Wilma Elizabeth McDaniel.
- Material related to the Dust Bowl in Oklahoma.
- Information about or related to currently held collections:
especially, Robert Cotton, Henry Bellmon,
and J. Roy Thompson.
