A variety of freely available and population-specific computers are available
in the Brock Memorial Library. The following descriptions will aid you in
determining which type of computer will best meet your needs when visiting
the Library. Printing is available from most computers.
Public Computer Stations
There are two types of public computer stations freely available for use:
- Six Internet accessible stations include: Internet access, Internet-delivered
email, Library-provided Internet-delivered databases, Library-provided
online journal subscriptions and e-books, and OSU Library Catalog. You
may save information from these computers onto USB
drive, CD, or DVD. You are responsible for supplying your own storage media.
These computers are located on the First Floor near the Circulation Desk and
share one networked laser printer. These computers are loaded with Microsoft
Word 2003 & 2007, Microsoft Powerpoint 2003 & 2007, Microsoft Excel
2003 & 2007, and a variety of assistive technology software. You must login
with your O-Key account to use these terminals. If you do not have an O-Key
account ask at the Reference
Desk and the staff will login to a terminal for you to use. Current OSU Students,
Staff, and Faculty have priority to use these
terminals. They also provide
login access to the OSU H: drive.
- Two OSU Library Catalog only stations. These are found on the First Floor
- one in the East Stacks and one in the West Stacks. No printing is available.
These terminals require no login.
- Veterinary Medicine Computer Reference: One computer, located near the
six Internet access terminals on the First Floor,
is designated Veterinary Medicine Computer Reference. Resources available
at this terminal includes electronic versions of journals, proceedings,
books, and databases that the licensing limits to a single user. All resources

and list Veterinary Medicine Computer Reference as the location. Printing

Public Computer Stations. This terminal requires no login.
